Comment:

 I'm not sure I agree with the resolution. It's quite non-obvious, and
 AFACIT only documented in this bug. I'd prefer if the default behavior
 were more sane. Nearly every other IM client I've used has an appreciable
 delay before displaying the buddy tooltip, or requires a right-click. On
 my Pidgin it's pretty much instantaneous, making it harder to use.
