something like this.
EXACTLY! That info is really useful when displaying many things. It could
display something like
== Contact Name ==
'''from Facebook is absent'''[[BR]]
You both have subscriptions on each other[[BR]]
> What "Local Alias" does is to set the name in a chat window but this is
''not'' the account name (at least this is how I understand "Local
Alias").
It's not like the Friendly Name as I thought it was, and it is not the
account name as darkrain42 suggested. Right now I'm thinking LocalAlias is
rather useless and confusing, but I really think I may be missing
something.
> Moreover there's still the point with the custom protocol icon. The
buddy icon is ''not'' the protocol icon and it doesn't seem to show up in
the buddy list or in the chat window. By allowing the user to specify a
custom protocol icon, tickets like #11790 weren't "necessary".
Absolutely, and a GMail account type, and so on, because XMPP is becoming
really popular.
> Just my two cents to this topic.
Great help, thanks a lot!!
And please, this is a minor change, and I think this may be a good moment
because libpurple 3 is developing and it would help on many places. It
does not deserve to be labeled "to be implemented as a plugin".
Please darkrain42, take the time to read this proposal to fully understand
what is it about. Thanks a million.
