 Does `file` report that the files are not stripped?  Or is gdb complaining
 that it will delay resolving the names until after a dynamic library is
 loaded?  (It's possible I messed something up, if you paste what you're
 seeing in gdb even though the breakpoints aren't triggering, that might be
 helpful)
