 Whenever one of my contacts changes their name, Pidgin isn't updated with
 the new name.  I looked in my blist.xml file and found that all of my
 XMPP, AIM, and ICQ contacts have aliases set.  I have never set aliases
 for any of my contacts.  I also deleted and re-added my XMPP account and
 the contacts were immediately assigned an alias.  The contact section in
 the blist.xml file looks like this:

 This is a Switchvox Phone Server that has a Jabber/XMPP server built in.
 This also happens with my Facebook account and my Google Talk accounts.

 Is this the intended behavior?  How am I too receive updates to contact
 names if Pidgin is setting an alias for my contacts?
