 Well, I'm not sure what do you mean with being "Lum from #pidgin". If
 you're referring to the chat, you're right, I don't participate in that
 because english is not my mother language and my times writing and reading
 english are not so much compatibles with chats...
 However, after your suggestion I tried to change in KDE settings the GTK+
 style used for gtk applications and I saw that the problem seems to be
 related only to the QtCurve style (with others the tooltips are shown).
 So it seems that Pidgin is doing something very particular to show those
 tooltips and QtCurve theme misbehaves that something, because no other gtk
 application seems to have problem. This is why I thought was Pidgin in
 failure.
 I'm going to close this ticket and I will open a new one in KDE bugs.
