 I finally got Pidgin working with a PURPLEHOME in 2.7.4.  The
 XML configuration files put themselves in PURPLEHOME.  Upgrading
 to 2.7.5 results in entirely new config files in PURPLEHOME/.purple

 Copying the old config files there doesn't change things; some are
 immediately overwritten.  How does one upgrade?

 Oh, and the new display font for IRC conversation is about half the size
 of the old one.  If you're going to change things like this, they need to
 be a changeable option.
