 I'm assuming that changing QT themes did change what pidgin looked like
 but didn't have any effect on the issue being reported, right? What theme
 did you try switching to?

 Does the Accounts window only show your accounts once? I'm going to assume
 it does.

 If you run pidgin from a terminal do you see any messages printed out
 there? Does the pidgin Help->Debug Window say anything interesting when
 you display that menu? Is there anything interesting in the 'pidgin -d'
 output from pidgin startup? I'm looking (specifically) for messages from
 GTK+ about problems/issues/assertions/etc. though feel free to just
 paste/attach the entire logs (as sanitized as you want to make them) here
 instead if you want.
