Comment:

 I updated to Kubuntu 10.10 today and now everything works as expected :-)
 Now I use Pidgin 2.7.3, libnice 0.0.12-1 and farsight2 0.0.21-1ubuntu1.

 Thus I will close this ticket as fixed.
