 I have this problem.  I cannot join or Start.  I am using Window 2003
 Server,and 2.7.3.  I found a temporary fix buy using AIM express to log
 into aim online and creating a group of people who are the one I usually
 talk to in the chat.

 (Although note, once you add the group you may find yourself unable to
 delete it since it keep getting added on despite everything I have tried
 and the 20 or so times I have deleted it.)
