 Similar to ticket 6544, I'm looking into a way to have Pidgin ''gently''
 notify me when certain buddies come online.

 I've already been using Buddy Pounce for months, but suddenly popping up a
 window while I'm typing in another application is very bad user experience
 (Pidgin's pop-up window steals focus and whatever I type ends up in it).

 Ive tried using the Guifications plugin but that doesn't let me specify
 which buddies of the 100+ in my list I'm interested in.
