 Steps to reproduce:

 - Sign in twice to an XMPP chat room, once with the nick 'nick1' and once
 with 'nick2'
 - From the window of 'nick1', issue the commands '/nick Nick2' then '/nick
 nick1'
 - Send messages from both accounts, including saying 'nick1' and 'nick2'
 to see what gets highlighted
 - Observe that the Pidgin instance for 'nick2' is suffering from some sort
 of personality disorder
 - Also observe that the roster in both windows says 'nick1' and 'Nick2',
 not 'nick1' and 'nick2'
