 If I send message from pidgin client to some google talk user (GTU) using
 the gmail integrated gtalk web client and use the default pidgin formating
 {{{ctrl+b, ctrl+i, ...}}} on my text, the other side does not see the
 formatting at all.

 If I however use the inline codes instead it works correctly for the GTU:
   * {{{_bold_}}} for '''bold'''
   * {{{_italic_}}} for ''italic''
   * {{{-strike-}}} for ~~strike~~
 ...unfortunately it does not work in the ''sent messages part'' of my chat
 window (os:win xp), where it remains as originally written code.

 When the GTU sends some gtalk formated text back, it shows only partly
 correct results:
   * {{{_italic_}}} shows in pidgin as ''italic_''
   * {{{*bold*}}} as '''bold*'''
   * {{{-strike-}}} does not work at all and shows -strike-

 It would be great to be able to use both, the pidgin's default formating
 tools as well as inline code, just like smileys {{{:)}}} which works
 correctly in both ways AFAIK.
