 In the case of XMPP, I really think multiple prpls is the way to go.
 Google Talk, for example, has some features specific to it that would be
 handy to isolate from other XMPP services, and Facebook has some stuff
 that'd be nice to isolate to Facebook XMPP accounts as well.  This would
 also allow us, for example, to kill FT support at the prpl level in
 Facebook.
