Comment:

 Might I suggest removing or disabling the spellcheck option in the
 installer if it's known they will fail?  If that is not an option, perhaps
 putting the directions / URL to download the dicts in a text box (where
 the user can highlight, copy and paste the URLs) might be helpful. Some
 background: I'm behind a corp. proxy and it seems the installer doesn't
 use the system settings for proxies.  As such the GTK/Spelling dict
 downloads failed for me.  I know it's a rather unique situation.
