 I've seen this problem for well over a year, maybe two. I just got burned
 by this twice today. Please note that the tab that steals focus does not
 seem to be the new tab. For example, if I have a chat opened with ContactA
 and ContactB, and I'm typing "I don't think ContactA is fat<ENTER>" to
 ContactB, but a tab to ContactC opens (either from a message or the
 Psychic Mode plugin), I could end up sending "ContactA is fat" to ContactA
 himself!
