Comment:

 This looks pretty good, though  I haven't tested.

 It looks like this won't allow joining a room while specifying a resource
 (a.k.a. in-room nick), a la "/join
 devel at conference.pidgin.im/darkrain42 at pidgin.im").  (`jabber_id_new` might
 be a good use here -- otherwise, is fine, and it's not really a
 'regression')
