Comment:

 The problem seems to be that we don't automatically attempt to reconnect
 when you hit save. If you manually disable and re-enable the account it
 should connect, you should also be able to make it connect by switching
 statuses in the buddy list, you may also be able to simply wait for the
 reconnection timer to fire.
