Comment(by Pascal Peyremorte):
Hi,
Thank you for the response.
Yes, the older discussion is badly displayed in both views :
- when I look it from the "archives viewer" : image Pidgin Ticket
#13226-2.jpg or
- directly in the "new discussion" form : image Pidgin Ticket
#13226-1.jpg (the plugin "Historique 2.7.9" is activated).
You can see that my contact (Xavier or Sally) archive messages are bad
displayed. Mine are always ok. But during a new discussion, all messsages
will be always rightly displayed.
Yes also for the "third bulled point" : I looked the archives htm files
with firefox.
Where are the fonts setup ? In the preferences / Conversation, It is set
as "Arial normal, 10".
Checking "Utiliser la police du thème" (Use the font of the theme) do not
change anything, nor selecting any other font.
[edit later]
I FOUND SOMETHING !
I viewed back in all conversation archives I have, looking for when the
bad display starts.
For aech contacts, the date where display start to be bad is different,
but looking inside source of archive HTML log file, I discovered that for
the 3, the righly displayed messages uses:
<span style='font-family: Microsoft Sans Serif;'>
while the badly displayed uses:
<span style='font-family: Segoe UI;'>
I did not found any "Segoe" font on any of our computers (XP SP3). So, I
think it is replaced by an incompatible font by pidgin, but by a better
one by firefox...
Do you know which font would be used in replacement for "Segoe UI" when it
is missing ?
Is there any place to define alias fonts for pidgin ?
