 It seems pretty weird for them to change the behavior of pkg-config and
 then fix pkg.m4 to make up for it.
 It's also fixed in Debian testing. You could copy a newer version of
 pkg.m4 so that people wouldn't have to build on the latest copy of pkg-
 config, but then it could become out of date again.
