Comment:

 This is behavior forced upon Pidgin by the Facebook XMPP service.  If you
 want to change the grouping of Facebook buddies, then you have no choice
 other than to change the friends list groupings on the Facebook website.
 There's nothing we can do about the server forcing groupings on us.
