#14339: Reset text formatting after the message is sent
-------------------+--------------------------------------------------------
Reporter: sergem | Type: enhancement
Status: new | Component: pidgin (gtk)
Version: 2.9.0 | Keywords: message formatting
-------------------+--------------------------------------------------------
Pidgin allows to change the font of the message. That's a good thing, of
course. But changes are preserved after the message is sent.

The most usual case: a text copy-pasted from browser or another window
with its own formatting sets different font face and color. And all the
other messages are sent with that formatting. This is usually not a good
idea in MUC (multi-user conferences). The worst thing is that I may not
even notice that my messages have a custom color if new color is same as
my default color. But users with different color scheme WILL see the
 difference.

I have hit this problem many times (have to manually reset formatting
often "just in case"). And I know several users who did that as well.

Suggestion: add an interface option that resets font settings to default
after sending the message. I also suggest to make this option on by
default. The option is required for backward compatibility, so that users,
who want their formatting preserved, were able to turn this option off.
