 What's funny is that if you run a search about this issue, you will find
 several tickets, some asking for flashing to go away, and others
 complaining that there's not enough flashing.

 Can we just let the user specify the number of times the chat window will
 flash, from 0 to indefinitely?  That would be relatively easy to implement
 and please everyone.
