#14675: "Message Too Large" response behavior is user hostile
--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
 Reporter:  Trinker       |     Owner:  rekkanoryo
     Type:  defect        |    Status:  new

--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
 On attempt to enter a too-large message (using YIM), Pidgin simply returns
 a time-stamped message such as:

 {{{
 (03:17:05 PM) Unable to send message: The message is too large.
 }}}

 At that point the attempted message is hidden from user view. (I only
 discovered after dealing with some frustration that ctrl-up would reveal
 the cached text, and previously had believed that it was permanently
 lost.)

 The interface should do two things.
 1) if possible, the maximum message length should be obvious. (A counter
 showing remaining characters would be especially nice.)
 2) More importantly, it should either be obvious and easy to find the
 ctrl-up solution, or the too-long text should not disappear
