 Well, it's not clear if the messages do not appear in the original client,
 even if that guy says so, as it seems that only people with relatively new
 UINs get spammed. I've got a pretty old UIN and I had that issue only once
 - a friend of mine, who created the offset patch in the first place, with
 a very recent UIN, got spammed every minute or so.
