 In the main Pidgin window when you select "Auto-Join" on a certain chat it
 should automatically try to connect. Because when I select that feature, I
 have looked for a chat and said why don't I have that set to "Auto-Join"
 so I set it but then I also need to connect. Likewise you should be able
 to remove auto-join from the IRC window without having to do it from the
 Pidgin window, it has the remove chat option but not to disable the auto
 join feature.
