Comment:

I can't reproduce this with Cyrus SASL on my desktop as well, but given
what we see here, I'm strongly guessing this was a bug in Cyrus SASL which
has since been corrected (Debian Unstable,
2.1.24~rc1.dfsg1+cvs2011-05-23-6) -- I'm looking around to see if I can
 prove that.

Datallah, how hard would it be to upgrade our Cyrus SASL? (Newer versions
also appear to have a SCRAM-SHA-1 plugin, which I'd love to see
 distributed with !WinPidgin)
