 To tell the truth, I don't know about this "new" transfer protocol, I use
 a Hacked Windows Live Messenger v14.8064.0206 so it will never do any
 Updates, this was done by myself. It was released in May 2009 and still
 work like a charm.
 It's not that the protocol doesn't work, is more like that pidgin doesn't
 know how to send files. aMSN worked for me, too bad it's anoying to use
 and the logging capabilities are short. Others like Digsby or Trillian
 require you to send them your info so are out of the question.
