 My thought was that it's like something stupid pidgin does that causes a
 security lockout on the account for access from the client, so no matter
 what instance of pidgin is being used, or its origin, it's going to kill
 the connection.
 I come to this reasoning because it happened specifically after a few
 weeks of effing around with login issues until finally it just stopped
 connecting altogether.
