 Mind you that's the 2.1.24 version from their development releases. The
 normal release is still using 2.1.22 as well (like Pidgin) I believe.

 I grabbed the [http://nightlybuilds.tortoisesvn.net/latest/win32/full/
 TortoiseSVN-1.6.99.21964-dev-win32-svn-1.7.0-dev.msi file] and used 7zip
 to extract these files:

  * libsasl.dll (which goes in the root of the Pidgin install folder)

 and the following all go in the /sasl2/ subfolder of the install folder;

  * saslANONYMOUS.dll
  * saslGSSAPI.dll
  * saslNTLM.dll
  * saslCRAMMD5.dll
  * sasllicense.dll
  * saslPLAIN.dll
  * saslDIGESTMD5.dll
  * saslLOGIN.dll

 While this happens to fix the one problem I was having, and still let me
 use my Gmail and work XMPP accounts, I haven't tested to see if this might
 break anything anywhere else. :) But so far it's working better for me
 than 2.1.22 at least.
