 If all of Pidgin's services were available over HTTPS (SSL/TLS), I think
 it would improve the general security of the project. By deciding what
 needs to be protected and what doesn't, mistakes will always be made - so
 it's easier, I think, to offer everything over HTTPS. It's better to over
 protect a few pointless things than to under protect critical things.

 The main reason that this bug matters is that it actually makes Chrome and
 HTTPS-Everywhere unable to login to the site. :(
