 Deleted old log, disconnection part from the new one:
 {{{
 (14:07:25) jabber: Sending (ssl) (<myaccont>@gmail.com/PidginCA3A2B3F):
 <iq type='get' id='purplec4ab48a0'><ping xmlns='urn:xmpp:ping'/></iq>
 (14:07:25) jabber: Recv (ssl)(79): <iq
 to="<myaccont>@gmail.com/PidginCA3A2B3F" id="purplec4ab48a0"
 type="result"/>
 (14:08:25) jabber: Sending (ssl) (<myaccont>@gmail.com/PidginCA3A2B3F):
 <iq type='get' id='purplec4ab48a1'><ping xmlns='urn:xmpp:ping'/></iq>
 (14:08:25) connection: Connection error on 0x9585230 (reason: 0
 description: server closed the connection)
 (14:08:25) account: Disconnecting account <myaccont>@gmail.com/Pidgin
 (0x92d4fe8)
 (14:08:25) connection: Disconnecting connection 0x9585230
 (14:08:25) connection: Deactivating keepalive.
 (14:08:25) jabber: Sending (ssl) (<myaccont>@gmail.com/PidginCA3A2B3F):
 </stream:stream>
 (14:08:25) connection: Destroying connection 0x9585230
 }}}

 As I can see it crashed right after ping request wihout getting any
 response?

 > Google Talk uses XMPP. That switching is intentional.
 Yeah, I see, noticed another ticket about that.

 > Are there reasons you are specifying connect server and forcing the use
 of old-style ssl on port 443?
 Nope, guess I took the values from some kind of "How to properly setup
 gtalk account in pidgin" article. Should I change them?
