 Every time I try to add an MSN buddy whose username (MSN address) contains
 an underscore, I get an error message saying the username is invalid.

 Those people are able to add me, but cannot interact with me in any way.
 In sum, I am unable to communicate with any MSN accounts with an
 underscore in their names.
