Comment:

 Google Talk accounts cannot receive inbound subscription requests. Google
 Talk blocks all unsolicited inbound communications from people who they
 aren't subscribed to. The Google Talk user must initiate the subscription
 process and/or you must send them an email from an email address which
 matches your XMPP id.

 What does the tooltip list for 'Subscription' for this/these buddies?
