 I can confirm the same behavior that ssswitch describes in Adium 1.4.x as
 well: the fact that the window needs to be manually enlarged in order to
 see the list of blocked addresses seems very buggy.  It's also not clean
 what the option "block certain contacts" is supposed to mean, nor why it's
 not enabled by default or toggled on when specific addresses are blocked,
 but I'd think these would likely be client implementation issues and not
 necessarily a libpurple problem.  However, Adium's documentation points to
 libpurple for clarification:

 "''Adium does not currently present this information as clearly as it
 should. This will hopefully be fixed at a later point on the libpurple
 (http://trac.adium.im/wiki/LibPurple) level. (See
 http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/GSoC2009/PrivacyRewrite for more
 information)''"
