 Hmm, well that workaround only seems to work sometimes. Another workaround
 is to delete the buddy in pidgin and then re-add them in pidgin. Some of
 them seem to come online correctly after that.

 This bug is a real pain for me, but not as much of a pain as the official
 client! ;-) Keep up the good work folks you have no idea how much it's
 appreciated.
