 It would help distinguish where you are typing (and avoid "wrong window"
 moments) if the background color and/or display font were configurable
 '''per conversation or per buddy'''.

 Another use case: when interacting with bots, e.g. the ZNC bot, the font
 needs to be monospace for the ASCII tables that the bot sends to look OK.
 Otherwise, readability is better with a proportional font.

 I've looked at ticket #3061 - how difficult would it be to implement this
