 Generally this sort of thing is better handled by tools designed
 specifically to do this sort of thing. Competent window managers on the
 linux side or something like autohotkey (for lack of anything better that
 I'm aware of) on the Windows side. Implementing this sort of behavior in
 every application is needless duplication of work that really isn't
 necessary.
