 Yes, average users will use Pidgin with OTR for chatting. The more
 paranoid should be running Finch with OTR as a unique user in a non-
 desktop environment. I seem to recall OTR had the patches etc. pretty much
 good to go and some changes on the libpurple/finch side had already taken
 place. I've not had a chance to check the backlogs of mail yet...
