 Folks, please refrain from "me too" types of posts, they aren't really
 helpful and won't increase the likelihood that this will happen.

 From my perspective the biggest issue is one of support and maintenance.
 In the past we've adopted plugins that came with promises of support that
 didn't end up materializing - this makes me more apprehensive about
 adopting additional plugins.

 Points to OTR's favor in this:
  * it's been maintained pretty consistently for quite a long time
  * it hasn't been the source of a significant number of support requests
 to our mailing lists and bug trackers (this is a pretty good indication
 because we get lots of bug reports about problematic plugins)
  * it seems to be well written based on a brief look at the source code

 Assuming there was adequate consensus that it should be adopted, my
 preference for adoption style would be that it would be an in-tree import
 and that it come with a maintainer to push directly to our repo.
