 Hello,

first I would second a bug that I still haven't been able to solve
 through
  years:

  https://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/9062

Having I an XMPP account (riseup.net domain) I see all my friends names
and mine as user at domain, not the nickname they have set.

  For example:
               lauraATriseup.net
               gingerATgtalk.com
               frenATjabber.org

(being AT an @ (I do that because if not the domain is censored here))

First would be nice to solve that (and be able to see my friends
 nicknames
correctly (the ones they have set) and set easily mine so others see it
too). That would be very intereseting for the free software community so
XMPP/Jabber is the most common IM that we have, and soon MSN is gonna
disappear (migrate to Skype) so that would be a very good opportunity to
have many users moved to the "free world" and giving more power to it,
aiding that if we fix this issue.

And second, as a complement for this, would be nice to be able to set a
nickname to the different accounts we have activated (not having to set
one by one); as happens with the status (where it yes works perfectly
 like
  this).

For example if I change my nick to "nick2" it is set as my MSN, and
different XMPP accounts nickname, and any other protocols possible. That
would be very nice for usability.

  Thank you very much!

Comment (by street):

Hello, I found some fix to the XMPP nick change, though an easier way to
do it would be cool and also the nick change integration for all accounts.

I managed to change my XMPP via adding myself and opening a conversation
with myself. Then i double clicked my nick and could change it (and other
people see the change, so it's not something local).

Btw I think it would be interesting to being able to change it easily as
 how msn accounts do.

And also Integrating the nickname for all accounts, as for status is done.

 Thank you,
