#15543: CACert certificates invalid?
--------------------+--------------------
 Reporter: mo | Owner: deryni
     Type: defect | Status: new
Milestone: | Component: XMPP
  Version: 2.10.3 | Keywords: tls
--------------------+--------------------
I get an error when I try to connect to XMPP servers that use CAcert. I
set up a server myself, but it also happens with other servers. The
certificate is signed by CACert's Class 3, and I have added both Class 3
and the CACert Root certificate to the certificate file (Prosody). On
client side, I have the CACert chain in /etc/ssl/certs.

I know users can manually add the chain to
~/.purple/certificates/x509/tls_peers. This is what for example
 jabber.ccc.de recommends.

Is there anything I can do server side to fix this? Looks like a Pidgin
 bug to me?
