 Currently pidgin complains about certs, that have been signed for a *.
 domain. Even if this kind of certs have def. cons, it's def. currently in
 the wild and not a sign for an security fault.

 Examples are:
 * *.freenode.net used for irc.freenode.net
 https://freenode.net/irc_servers.shtml
 * *.icq.com used for slogin.icq.com

 IMHO this need to be fixed here, as it's part of a full SSL
 implementation?
