 As you might know, security became more important in this days of
 governmental espionage. Thus I like to suggest that pidgin should
 encourage the users to enable SSL logins and transport by default.

 remark: Yep, if NSA has direct access to ICQ, no SSL will help you, but
 here we are talking about a variety of protocols, so also Jabber, IRC, ...
 that at least encrypts till the operating server.
