 I can confirm that this is a bug/data leak that bites Pidgin-OTR users -
 I've recently been contacted by some users and developers about it.

 If this is a fine patch for the Pidgin developers, I believe this is the
 patch we'd like to see landed for Pidgin-OTR users to have encrypted '/me
 foo` messages.
