 Not so sure if that still takes a while, for modern computers, it seems
 that isn't "much" the case anymore that it takes a while, of course, there
 is a difference whether you use /dev/random or /dev/urandom, but on normal
 desktop or laptop computers there are several methods to have 'enough'
 entropy available to generate a key in less than a few seconds.

 I agree that, a key should be generated after an account has been
 added/created using Pidgin. Alternatively, you can maybe ask to import an
 existing key! :)
