 You may want to hold out until we have proper Google Hangouts support. We
 currently support GTalk (XMPP), but a Hangouts implementation is being
 developed as a [[SummerOfCode2015|Google Summer of Code]] project. Because
 the accounts will then be on different protocols, they probably won't
 conflict.
