 Sadly, this is a common problem. I've experienced it myself. It's hard to
 debug because most distributed Pidgin 2.x.y packages use GStreamer 0.10,
 which is no longer supported. We're working to release Pidgin 3.0, which
 will include a newer version of GStreamer and will therefore probably
 solve most voice/video woes.
