 One more thing: have you installed an FFmpeg or Libav plugin for the
 GStreamer version being used? Neither are package dependencies. It seems
 that many of the errors shared here are caused by failed codec/format
 negotiation. Having one of those plugins should greatly increase the
 number of formats you support.

 If you have the time to test it out, let me know what happens.
