#16664: Pidgin Portable 2.10.11 (XMPP) fails to authenticate on some machines
----------------------+---------------------------------
 Reporter:  servuser  |      Owner:  deryni
     Type:  defect    |     Status:  new
Milestone:            |  Component:  XMPP
  Version: 2.10.11 | Keywords: authentication SASL
----------------------+---------------------------------
 I have Pidgin Portable from
 http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/pidgin_portable

 On some machines it works well but on some machines it fails to auth.
 Debug log for this is:

 (19:40:56) proxy: Connected to mydomain.com:5222.
 (19:40:56) jabber: Sending (myname at domain/mydomain.com): <?xml
 version='1.0' ?>
 (19:40:56) jabber: Sending (myname at domain/mydomain.com): <stream:stream
 to='domain' xmlns='jabber:client'
 xmlns:stream='http://etherx.jabber.org/streams' version='1.0'>
 (19:40:57) jabber: Recv (442): <?xml version='1.0'?><stream:stream
 xmlns:stream='http://etherx.jabber.org/streams' version='1.0'
 from='domain' id='62fbdedd-eb2f-41ad-aca7-578b77cf1904' xml:lang='en'
 xmlns='jabber:client'><stream:features><register
 xmlns='http://jabber.org/features/iq-register'/><mechanisms
 xmlns='urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:xmpp-
 sasl'><mechanism>PLAIN</mechanism><mechanism>SCRAM-
 SHA-1</mechanism><mechanism>DIGEST-
 MD5</mechanism></mechanisms></stream:features>
 (19:40:57) sasl: Mechs found: PLAIN SCRAM-SHA-1 DIGEST-MD5
 (19:40:57) sasl: No worthy mechs found
 (19:40:57) connection: Connection error on 045A00C0 (reason: 3
 description: Server does not use any supported authentication method)
 (19:40:57) account: Disconnecting account myname at domain/mydomain.com
 (020DCBF0)

 Why does Pidgin think "No worthy mechs found" if they seem to be provided
 correctly?
