 Occasionally while chatting, hitting Enter to send my response is ignored.
 I have to click around to change focus to other applications (sometimes
 several other windows), before Enter starts working again. No other input
 keys seem to be ignored or affected, only Enter to send.

 This is being reported from Windows 8.1 on a high-DPI multi-monitor system
 (which seems to cause weird problems for a lot of software). I doubt it
 matters, but this has been seen over XMPP (specifically, GTalk/Hangouts),
 I don't use any other protocols.
